Proper mold dimensions and tolerances
1. The relationship between product dimensional accuracy and mold dimensional accuracy
Draw product drawings, considering mold design, mold making and molding process. First, the mold surface size can be calculated from the product surface size. According to the drawing size of the mold, the actual size of the mold can be obtained. With this mold, the molded part can be obtained, and the actual dimensions of the molded part can be obtained. 2. Appropriate shrinkage rate
As described above, even in the same resin with the same pigment, the shrinkage rate varies with different molding conditions. During the molding process, the degree of change in shrinkage should be small, and there should be no difference between the expected shrinkage and the actual shrinkage. Mainly by finishing the actual shrinkage of similar products in the past to estimate the shrinkage rate, but also through an experimental mold to calculate the actual shrinkage rate, and then modify the design of production mold.
However, it is almost impossible for us to estimate the shrinkage rate properly, and it is inevitable to revise the design mold after trial molding. To correct the research results, the concave part will be reduced by increasing the product size, and the convex part will be reduced by different sizes. Therefore, the shrinkage rate is set to a small value for the concave portion size, and the shrinkage rate is set to a large value for the convex portion size. When the outer diameter of the gear becomes larger gradually, it cannot be meshed, and when it becomes smaller, only the backlash becomes larger, so the enterprise should set the economic shrinkage rate at a small value.
